About the Layoffs at Amazon, Google, and Microsoft

Around 40,000 people affected by this string of cuts.

This Wednesday, I heard the first rumblings of layoffs at Amazon.

Turns out that it was a lot worse than I had originally imagined.

About 40,000 people have been affected, just between Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. This number will continue to grow as we see the downstream effects of this event.

If you are amongst the people affected (or are concerned for your job safety), don’t worry. There are a lot of people out to help. I’ve been touch in touch with managers still working in these companies who are helping the laid-off people transition into new roles.
