Plans for the Content Going Forward
After thinking a lot, I have a made a few crucial decisions
Happy Saturday all,
I hope you have some super fun plans for today. Tax season is pulling up soon though, so don’t have too much fun.
It’s been roughly one year since I decided to put all my efforts into Tech Made Simple and 3 months since I started AI Made Simple. The growth we have seen is amazing. The writing has been recommended by people I respect and whose content I have followed for a while. Their recommendations have been a huge boost to my confidence. Here are some of the most prominent publications recommending the work-
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what should be next. As such I have reached a few very important conclusions-
Alternative Career Paths
As you may know, Tech Layoffs have left the job market in a very precarious position. As an international student graduating in these circumstances, finding work has been hard. Therefore, I have decided to switch careers. I will now be leaving AI and software development altogether. I will instead spend my time rafting. There are a few reasons I have made that choice-
My time as a college athlete was on the rowing team. Thus, I have some experience in the water.
Rafting will allow me to get close to successful people (the people I will be taking on my boat). I will be able to listen to their secrets and become successful through osmosis. Everyone knows that the keys to success are in idolizing every successful person and in treating all their words as gospel. Success has absolutely nothing to do with luck, privilege, class structures, or any such external factors that no one can really control. Papers such as this, which show that “In particular, we show that, if it is true that some degree of talent is necessary to be successful in life, almost never the most talented people reach the highest peaks of success, being overtaken by mediocre but sensibly luckier individuals” are false. True success is found in grinding and following a morning routine.
Most rafters are very talkative in attempts to get more tips from their patrons. I am the opposite. As a sigma male, I move in silence. I would have amazing charisma if I wanted, but I willingly choose not to engage in the social hierarchy. My silence is not caused by a lack of social skills (as some have speculated). My silence will give me an air of mystery, that will impress all the successful clients in the boat and give me a leg up.
I have already started training for this new venture. You can see my first day on the job right here.
I’m sure this is very confusing to some of you. Many of you are probably wondering- what about the content? You followed me to become a 10x engineer. What happens now? Let’s answer that question next.
About my Content
Since I will be stepping away from tech, it’s only natural that I will no longer be writing about the developments. I’m sure this is heartbreaking to many of you. Being tech people, this newsletter is the closest that we get to social interactions. Unfortunately, I’ve run the numbers and reached a sad conclusion- this newsletter will only make you an 8.9x engineer. This is unfortunately not enough in a world where people have gone beyond the 10x framework and are somehow using over 30 new Generative AI tools every week to become Superhumans of productivity. Turns out the key to getting ahead is jumping on whatever the most recent trend is, signing up for 50 tools to do the most basic things. Just be sure to update your LinkedIn bio with the most recent buzzwords to demonstrate your expertise in that field.
In such a world, advice like focusing on the basics, evaluating things critically, and mastering a craft are all outdated. It is important for you to be in tune with the times, so I will be handing all my content to such geniuses of productivity. If any of you would like to take over the content, please send in your application with the following pieces of information-
Your morning routine.
A list of AI tools you use every day for peak performance.
A short (50,000 words) essay on how journaling is the key to success.
5 times you copy-pasted a LinkedIn post made by another person on a topic you had no idea about. Fake scenarios created to bait engagement to bait bonus credits.
As the great philosopher, Dave Chappel said- Modern Problems require Modern Solutions. I have no doubt that the expert that takes over this newsletter will give you modern solutions.
Writing this newsletter has been an absolute pleasure.
Thank you for everything.
Peace,
Devansh <3

Good one Devansh, but I got you at " I have decided to switch careers. I will now be leaving AI and software development altogether". Ofcourse I was scared for a bit, that I would be missing your content but then I realized it's April 1:)
okay, you got me. I was ready to tell you how courageous your decision was and it was too bad to read that "advice like focusing on the basics, evaluating things critically, and mastering a craft are all outdated". Anyway, you got me, I admit.
(It was better than me whatsapping my family back in France that I won a trip to space with Elon but I was not sure I was going to do it because I really like Earth's surface :) )
